We have immediate openings for FULL TIME and PART TIME Second Shift Medication Technicians in our Personal Care Unit and our Memory Care Units.

We are presently offering a $5000 sign on bonus for FULL TIME Medication Technicians and a $3500 Sign on Bonus for PART TIME Medication Technicians. 

The hours are 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. Schedules include working every other weekend. 

Salary is commensurate with experience. We offer shift differential for working second shift, and a weekend differential for working on Saturday or Sunday.

This position is responsible for providing care and services to residents as assigned to ensure the best quality of life.

Essential Job Functions:

• Receive report from previous shift
• Responsible for the medication pass, charting medications and proper accountability of medications on the unit
• Take vital signs and weight as required and maintain related records
• Record and maintain required documentation on shift activities and residents
• Communicate with Doctors for orders and to give updates on medical condition
• Assist with activities of daily living, showers, tub, whirlpool baths, and answer call bells as needed
• Communicate with families regarding resident condition
• Help residents to appointments or activities as needed which may include pushing wheelchairs
• Participate in quarterly Support Plan Conference
• Complete assessments and Support Plans
• Provide wound care dressings and other treatments
• Assure residents receive mail 
• Make beds, change linens, give fresh towels, fresh water and empty trash 
• Assist in dining room and plan and conduct activities before meals
• Receive telephone calls and take messages
• Order medications following department policies and procedures
• Wash, dry and store resident’s personal laundry and towels as needed
• Provide activities for the residents, have one-on-one time with residents and encourage then to attend activities on campus
• Restock supplies on unit
• Prepare paper work for appointments, lab slips, and review MAR’s monthly
• Offer snacks and resupply snack items as needed
• Maintain and clean medication cupboards, medication refrigerator, tidy work area and resident rooms

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• CNA training or 1 year of experience in personal care or long-term care setting
• Current Med Tech certificate or successfully complete Med Tech training
• Department of Welfare Personal Care Home Direct Care Person Training or successfully complete reading and test required.
• Current CPR and First Aid
