JOB TITLE: Ministry Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Pembroke Pines Campus
REPORTS TO: Campus Pastor
STATUS: Non - Exempt, Hourly
HOURS: Part Time (20)
LOCATION: Pembroke Pines Campus

You must have a love for God and His people. This position acts as an integral part of the Calvary Chapel Pembroke Pines Regional Campus. The specific focus of the Ministry Assistant will be to assist the Pembroke Pines Regional Campus Pastor in all aspects of campus management and the campus. This person has the ability to understand immediate and long-range goals of the Pastor and his ministries and can make judgments and decisions to direct information to the appropriate people so that those plans can be executed effectively in order to accomplish those goals.

You will:
Direct people to the appropriate staff for practical and biblical counseling, encouragement and prayer. These requests come from phone calls, walk-ins, emails and appointments
Offer biblically sound counsel to volunteers, congregants, and families, when necessary and appropriate
Provide clerical support for the Pastor of the Pembroke Pines Campus; i.e., emails, mail, supplies, compiling data and producing reports, graphic and connection requests, calendar planning, facility coordination, etc.
Schedule meetings, appointments and counseling sessions for the Pastor of the Pembroke Pines campus, as well as for him/herself
Help plan budgets for events and activities
Plan and execute ministry events
Provide support to the overseers for the Sunday services. Ensure that the Pastor, overseers and the volunteers have the detailed information as it pertains to the weekly services and ensure that all supplies needed are available for the services
Plan the ministry calendar, working with the overall church calendar to ensure no overlap
Provide training and development for volunteers, giving them opportunities to minister at Calvary Chapel
Work with the scheduling of volunteers to ensure coverage of the ministry monthly
Establish and update all operational procedures for the Pembroke Pines Regional Campus
Be responsible for the various outreach opportunities for the Pembroke Pines Regional Campus
Prayerfully and creatively look for ways to disciple leaders in the church and within the ministry as part of our volunteer initiatives
Keep confidential matters confidential
Adhere to all aspects of Employee Handbook including “Expectations and Work Standards”

Teach from the Bible in the appropriate environments inclusive of staff meetings, conferences, camps and/or outreach events.
Work Schedule:
Part-time (20 hours/week); however, incumbent may be required to work an evening or weekend day to help with a special event or project or in an emergency situation affecting the church facilities. Staff culture is important to what we do. To love like family, we require all staff to attend all staff meetings, department meetings and serve with a willing heart especially at all major campus events.
