Your passion:You must have a passion to change the world for Jesus through children’s ministry which entails ensuring a great first-time experience for parents of babies and toddlers in early childhood that will make them come back. You will do this by preparing relevant and inspiring activities and crafts, ensuring our areas are safe and clean to receive babies and their parents (including the nursing rooms), and through intentional volunteer engagement. You will help all services to run smoothly by communicating, empowering, and supporting the needs of lead volunteers. You will work closely with the manager to help maintain all aspects of early childhood. You’ll do all of this and more by welcoming families and babies to church, creating a fun and safe environment for babies and toddlers, working behind the scenes, and supporting the early childhood volunteers team. You must have proven organizational and personable skills and will be responsible for supporting Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale's Calvary Kids mission and vision. Flexible with good time management skills You will:Establish a trusting relationship with first-time parents of babies and toddlers in Calvary Kids. Give new parents and guests a tour, answer questions, and connect them with our lead volunteers for the prep posse of making them feel comfortable to bring their little ones to children’s ministry. Order supplies needed for curriculum and for early childhood including but not limited to diapers, snacks, cleaning supplies, and toys. Ensure our areas are safe, organized, set up, and clean to receive babies and their parents (including the nursing rooms). Support all aspects of early childhood during services, which includes serving and assisting the lead volunteers while responding to volunteer needs during services. Develop a relationship of trust with volunteers which will enable authentic opportunities to consistently and intentionally disciple, lead, train, and recruit. Work collaboratively with staff from the Calvary KIDS team to promote goals and perform other department-related tasks as needed and assigned by the department lead. Support all Family ministry events, including Easter and Christmas. You have:Enthusiasm towards welcoming guests and loving on our volunteers in the midst of very busy and demanding moments. A passion for and experience working with children, in particular early childhood. Understanding of volunteer structure Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure Experience working with early childhood curriculum Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Microsoft, Google Suite Excellent organizational and office management skills and ability to function with minimum supervision Ability to troubleshoot and provide innovative ideas for areas that need improving Outstanding “all-in” culture and work ethic What you are required to know:We are an EEO employer.
