You will:

Be trained to trouble-shoot, analyze, and identify solutions for various aspects of our security systems.
Install, repair, and maintain door access control devices.
Install electrical wiring, panels, cable for security devices.
Resolve Help Tickets related to cameras and security systems
Know and understand all safety procedures of the Church and CCA.
Meet deadlines and work in a fast based environment with minimum direction
Contribute to the development of internal security best practices as well as new innovations.
Attend project meetings pertaining to security integration.
Oversee and coordinate low voltage electrical work of contractors related to new construction, repairs, renovation and maintenance related to intrusion detection, video surveillance and access control systems.
Be responsible for scheduled maintenance, cleaning, or minor repairs to electronic devices, including but not limited to access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection devices.
Keep equipment updated and operational.
Maintain inventory of essential parts and equipment to ensure repairs and installations are done in a timely manner.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (i.e., IT, Facilities and Security teams’ members, as well as contractors) in planning and deploying life safety devices, including surveillance equipment, access controls, intercom systems, fire/burglar component, and others as required.

You have:

Cable installation experience
Basic networking knowledge
A working knowledge of low voltage systems
Technical and computer skills, allowing you to use computers and programs like word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and computer aided design

What you are required to know:

We are an EEO employer.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) hourly non-exempt position.
You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.

Experience installing CCTV Systems and low voltage
A desire to learn new skills (we will train)
The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to needed changes
The ability to manage time effectively
The skills to interact positively with staff and the public in a diverse academic setting
A familiarity with access control, intrusion and video surveillance systems such as, Spectrum IPUMS, Freedom and Ademco
A desire to stay abreast of changes in security technology.
A BICSI certification

Full time non-exempt hourly (40 hours/week) sometimes nights and weekends.
