We are looking for a Controller to join our team at Call Dad and help us manage our financial operations and strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information

- Provide strategic financial guidance to the leadership team, including analysis of financial performance, forecasts, and recommendations for improvement

- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop and monitor budgets

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders

- Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors

- Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns

- Manage cash flow and treasury functions, including banking relationships

- Develop and mentor the finance team (including Virtual Assistants), fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- CPA or equivalent certification

- 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting and analysis

- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to develop and mentor staff

- Proficient with Quickbooks Enterprise

- Experience with a CRM (preferably ServiceTitan) that integrates with Quickbooks Enterprise 

- Experience in a trade and also a fast-growing company is a plus
