Job Summary
Under the direct oversight of the Associate AD of Compliance, the Director of Compliance assumes a pivotal leadership role within our NCAA Division I Athletics program. Tasked with overseeing a spectrum of administrative and technical functions, this position demands a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and meticulous attention to detail. The incumbent will spearhead the application and enforcement of policies and procedures, ensuring unwavering adherence to NCAA and Conference mandates. With a focus on evaluating departmental matters concerning compliance as it relates to financial aid and rules education. The Director of Compliance plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and success of our Athletic Department.

Ability to independently initiate and execute tasks. Ability to strategically plan work and projects that align with department objectives. Ability to establish a strong community presence (among season ticket holders, donors, etc.) to educate, remind, and guide external stakeholder s within the compliance framework. Ability to guide others in policy and procedures in support of the athletics department and the university. Strong customer service skills over the telephone, in person, and through written communication. Must be proficient in the use of basic computer applications.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience required.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,273 - $9,537 per month.

Excellent benefits through CalPERS (health, vision, dental), tuition fee waiver, generous vacation and sick leave, and 14 paid holidays each year.
Time Base
1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of Appointment
This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

Long Beach State Athletics is committed to following NCAA, Big West Conference, Golden Coast Conference, and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rules and regulations. Therefore, the incumbent is required to maintain a working knowledge of these rules and regulations.
