California Specialty Pharmacy is Hiring an Intake IVIG/Patient Care Coordinator Near Whittier, CA

JOB DESCRIPTION

The IVIG Intake/ Patient Care Coordinator role will be responsible for processing new prescriptions, insurance benefits investigation, obtaining prior authorization, schedule nursing and delivery of medications. Build and maintain effective business relationships with all operation team, Supervisors, Pharmacist, Sales team, RN's and prescribing physician. Leadership mentality

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees Intake/PCC functions (Benefit Investigation, Prior Authorization Submission, Copay Assistance, etc.) with designated accounts
  • The Intake/PCC role includes coordinating the scheduling, processing, filling and delivery of medications. The PCC contacts and interacts with patients, referral sources, Registered Nurses and pharmacy personnel to ensure timely delivery of appropriate medications. The Intake/ PCC acts as the liaison between pharmacists, patients, referral sources and internal staff to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • The Intake/PCC is responsible for patient benefits investigation, prior authorization submissions, either directly or through our referral sources where contractually allowed, foundation funding, copay assistance, hub support enrollment, submissions of appeals, and arranging for peer to peers when required.
  • Report and escalate issues arising that may delay patient therapy
  • Assist with refill scheduling as required to maintain workflow and/or meet monthly business goals.
  • This role will require responsible, strong detailed oriented individual with a leadership mentality
  • Perform other assignments as assigned by Supervisor or pharmacist.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Establishes efficient processes and strong relationships with internal operation team, RN's, Sales team and Pharmacist.
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the defined timeframes
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 year minimal experience preferred in pharmacy and/or specialty pharmacy
  • IV supply knowledge is a plus
  • Prior Authorization knowledge is a plus
  • Medical Office experience is a plus

Pay: Negotiable Depending on Experience

Discretionary Monthly Performance Bonus
