California Specialty Pharmacy is Hiring a Care Coordination Associate Near Whittier, CA

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Care Coordination Associate is a critical part of the California Specialty Pharmacy team. This position supports delivery of the annual sales objectives by cultivating relationships with patients and specialty prescriber office staff, generating new leads, and maintaining existing account relationships. This person will work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to ensure prescriber officers are sufficiently supported.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a proactive approach to building new relationships, while maintaining our existing partner relationships.
  • Grow existing partner relationships through value-based communication and providing relevant solutions to pain points, building trust, and following through with any follow-up activities/items.
  • Build lead opportunities, ability to identify a high potential prescriber office from a lead source.
  • Virtually manage patient and prescriber accounts and tracking system.
  • Ensure precise and timely intake of new referrals and documents by efficiently processing and organizing them within the designated time frames.
  • Request any medical records and/or prescriptions needed to complete the patient chart.
  • Contact the physician’s office to assist the pharmacist in obtaining any missing prescriptions or clinical clarifications.
  • Obtain new members medical benefits via phone or insurance portals in detail along with risk, copay and/or co-insurance information.
  • Accurately input insurance into patient demographics along with proper copay/coinsurance amounts
  • Respond to phone calls/e-mails/faxes in a prompt and efficient manner within the specified time frames, while maintaining clear and professional communication with customers.
  • Interact with patients, referral sources, and pharmacy personnel to ensure timely processing of incoming referrals and documents.
  • Timely and accurately: a) create new patient charts b) input demographic information into Pharmacy Operation Software c) document storage and attachment to the patient record d) communicate via fax/telephone/e-mail the referral receipt with the referral source and the patient.
  • Conducts pre-call planning research and goal setting prior to prescribers’ office call back.
  • Act as the key liaison between patients, providers, our pharmacists, and sales reps, to help patients begin their medication therapy regimen.
  • Manage partner and patient’s experience as they move through our operational workflow.
  • Promote CSP while utilizing approved branded marketing materials, such as sharing our current marketing programs/campaigns, speaking to the promotional materials, and individual service line experience.
  • Place proactive outbound calls and follow-up on patient and prescriber offices who have shown buying signals and interest in doing business with CSP.
  • Support and educate prescribers on new medications to the marketplace, including collaboration with departments on new medication playbooks.
  • Provides feedback and suggestions to Marketing and Operations teams on how to drive success of customer lead generation programs.
  • Ability to project manage programs, campaigns, and trackers, to ensure tasks are followed up on in a timely manner. Alert manager if training gaps arise.
  • Ability to travel for team meetings and/or partner meetings.

Accountabilities:

  • Achieves quarterly and annual sales growth, objectives and revenue targets
  • Sales retention and growth from existing prescriber offices
  • Addition of new patients and prescriber offices
  • Sales outreach activities, calls, emails, meetings, new leads
  • Attend all required training: self-paced, virtual, and in-person sessions
  • Proactively develop a new skill each year
  • Meets deadlines with projects and is one hundred percent compliant to system requirements

Qualifications:

3 years of industry sales experience is preferred. A successful Care Coordination Associate has a patient-focused approach to customer service, is self-motivated, a quick learner, is charismatic and empathetic, is goal-oriented, organized, keeps track of details while able to multi-task. Someone who can display the ability to project manage and stay within set deadlines, can adjust and re-prioritize based on circumstances, build strong relationships, able to communicate both written and verbally.

Pay: Start: $23.00 DOE

Monthly bonus after probation period
