Description
Position Overview
The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for promoting employee injury prevention programs; campaigns; initiatives; training plans; safety committees; communications; incident reporting; and investigations. The primary success criteria for the role is a positive safety culture and a ZERO injury mindset across the frontline team. Provides technical safety & health resources, and support, to the operations team.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to work off shifts and weekends as needed.
2-10 years of occupational safety experience in a manufacturing environment (experience may be substituted with 3 years’
experience as a manufacturing machine operator or supervisor)
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats at all levels.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
Safety focused certification, OSHA 10 Hour, OSHA 30 Hour
Job Hazard Analysis experience
Experience using automated training systems or Learning Module Systems (LMSs) (i.e., Alchemy, Skillsoft, Sprout, Cornerstone, etc.)
Experience as a trainer in any field.
