Position Title: Systems Administrator

Position Reports To: Information Technology Manager
The Systems Administrator plays a pivotal role in maintaining and fortifying the integrity and security of our operating system environment and diverse computer systems. This position is responsible for administering, installing, and troubleshooting various operating systems, conducting system maintenance tasks including backups, recovery, and file maintenance, as well as scheduling, installing, and testing system software upgrades. Additionally, the Systems Administrator configures software and resolves technical issues. This role provides crucial technical support, encompassing server and workstation setup, updates, troubleshooting, while also diagnosing software and hardware problems. The Systems Administrator is prepared to assist staff with IT-related problems when called upon and takes an active role in network support, troubleshooting network equipment including Cisco routers, switches, and Meraki devices, as well as managing high availability server clusters and SANs, and leveraging Azure and Office 365 experience/knowledge as needed.
Knowledge:
While performing the responsibilities of the Systems administrator job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit for long periods of time and use their hands and fingers. The employee is also required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Vision abilities required by this job include close, mid- range and distance. Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
