Job Description and Duties
The Commission provides for a different type of state government job, one that allows you to apply specific skills and knowledge to help decision-makers resolve complex wildlife issues at the state level and develop policies for wildlife management. Under the direction of the staff services manager, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) performs moderately complex analytical work: Under supervision and clear direction, reviews, analyzes and develops regulatory documents for rulemaking processes consistent with the Administrative Procedure Act; consults with and coordinates rulemaking activities with other organizations; develops white papers, special reports and presentations; communicates and effectively works with all levels of staff, other agencies and the public; prepares and distributes Commission agenda, briefing binder, consent calendar and action letters for Commission meetings; maintains subject files and regulatory reference sets, and ensures that regulatory policies are implemented; and develops and reviews electronic and physical record disposition schedule and arranges for disposition of records and archival material.
In order to be eligible for this position, you must either be transfer eligible or take and pass the following exam:
STAFF SERVICES ANALYST
