Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will manage and supervise all material related operations of the associated manufacturing center, under the direction of the Plant Manager, and follow established procedures and approved processes.

salary range : 67-77k bonus at target.

Reporting to Plant Manager

Schedule : M-F

• Provides daily leadership & direction of material related associates across 3 shifts of operations.
• Provide daily, weekly, and annual goals for materials team, driving accountability and performance.
• Heavy usage of ERP systems (Epicor & TARS) including entering, updating, and running reporting on received material, orders, and outgoing shipments.
• Create and process shipping paperwork for the day’s shipments, enters shipments into our Tracking and Reporting System software.
• Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Coordinate and facilitate with local freight vendors on outbound shipments to ensure dependable, timely delivery.
• Maintain the regional shipping log and scan reports for all RBU locations.
• Process plant transfers between manufacturing facilities.
• Coordinate with inventory team on daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count and make adjustments within ERP system.
• Reconcile receipts with AP to ensure invoices and material received are correct

Acquired through some formal training or equivalent experience.

• Requires the skill to deliver professional advice or direction or present opinions and recommendations. Use some persuasion and negotiation but not a regular activity.
• External communication that includes clients, vendors, gov’t agencies, and service providers
• Internal Communication that includes manufacturing, corporate, and other CCO teams.
• Strong employee management and leadership skills
• Modifies existing processes in order to resolve issues, updating existing work methods.
• Work is guided by established objectives, and the employee has freedom to act independently to achieve objectives within appropriate guidelines, practices and precedents.
• Minimum of high school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• High level general understanding of ERP / MRP systems required; Epicor or TARS preferred.
• High level understanding of Excel including advanced functions, sorting, and pivots.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable proscribed personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Excellent work ethic and communication skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; strong web navigation and computer skills.
• ERP software experience preferred.
