Job Summary:

The Software Engineer expands knowledge and skills in multiple tools, technologies and Calero product areas. The engineer consistently applies and promotes best practices and standard procedures as a member of an agile development team.

Duties and Responsibilities of the job: 

• Continuously expands ability to handle new and more complex programming tasks
• Competent in programming and debugging across multiple modules and dealing with related external dependencies
• Writes high-quality code with domain in mind
• Authors, executes, and monitors automated tests
• Designs and performs manual verification and regression tests
• Leads some discussions in research, grooming and planning on the team
• Actively contributes on code and design reviews
• May pair with Associate Engineers to assist in training

Education: 

Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

Experience and Training:

• 2 years of experience in software engineering
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good presentation skills

Technical Knowledge:

• The Software Engineer has a background in:
  1. Object oriented programming
  2. Application development (either web, distributed, Windows or Linux)
  3. Unit, system, and integration testing
  4. Relational databases
  5. Business intelligence and analytics platforms
• Examples of relevant technologies currently used by Calero:
  1. C#
  2. JavaScript, React
  3. MS .NET Framework
  4. MS T-SQL
  5. AMQP (RabbitMQ)
  6. NUnit, Mocha

Contact with Others

All levels of management, including C-Level, Business Unit leadership, other internal stakeholders, and team members of the Product Development department.
