Calendly is Hiring a Remote Senior Website Strategy Manager

About the team & opportunity

What’s so great about working on Calendly’s Marketing team?

We show our prospective customers the value of our product and features in maximizing their most valuable asset…time.

We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on, and creative Website Strategist reporting to our Head of Growth Marketing to own the content, structure, and experimentation across the site. You will have a vision for the Marketing Site and be the primary driver of the website roadmap and content, and be a very close partner to our Senior Manager, Website Marketing who will collaboratively execute with her team of developers, designers, and operations manager.

A day in the life of a Senior Website Strategy Manager at Calendly

Early on you will collaboratively develop a prioritized roadmap for the Marketing Website outlining the themes and opportunities to focus on as a team. Then you will be coordinating content production, enabling the team to execute on your plan, reviewing experiment results, undertaking research and analyzing data, and always be ideating and planning what’s next.

On a typical day, you will be working on:

  • Reviewing dashboards, data, and session recordings coupled with qualitative research to identify opportunities for improvement, and to analyze the performance of your suite of experiments.
  • Partnering with the rest of the website team to brainstorm solutions, check-in on the status of what’s coming up next, provide specifications, provide design feedback, and make quick decisions on what you would like to see designed, and developed.
  • Owning the content strategy for the Marketing Website to help you tell the story about Calendly’s features, customers, pricing, and specific solutions – collaborating closely with Product, Solutions, and Content Marketing, and our Monetization team along with other stakeholders.
  • Sometimes creating but often coordinating the development of content for the website to execute on your roadmap - copy, stories, images, videos, animations and more to help us tell our story in a compelling, high converting way.
  • Partnering with our Demand Gen team on a landing page strategy, so we’re better leveraging highly personalized landing pages, with rapid experimentation to improve ad conversion.
  • Collaborating with an experimentation agency that supports our team on experiment ideation, definition, and management across the website.

What do we need from you?

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar marketing role where you have had responsibility for a marketing website, and been able to demonstrate content marketing, product marketing, and technical marketing skills.
  • Technical marketing skills – including experience using a CMS like Contentful, basic HTML/CSS awareness (you won’t be coding but you should understand how websites work), and an understanding of marketing tech tools in the market.
  • A basic awareness of SEO techniques and measurement, but an advanced ability to tell a story through page content once you understand the audience persona, value proposition, and features.
  • Design savviness - you’re not a designer but you understand principles of UX design, brand, and have strong views on design direction.
  • Data savviness – know what questions to ask, how tracking works, how to use self-serve product analytics tools like Amplitude, and how to interpret data for decision making.
  • Inquisitiveness for user behavior and a sharp eye for uncovering insights and opportunities through data, fueling a continuous improvement mindset.
  • A demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships, influence outcomes, and become a valuable partner across the business.
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
