ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Accounts Receivable/Cashiering Departments, the Accounts Specialist is responsible for reviewing and recording enterprise invoices cash receipt batches.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):

  • Process requests for invoice - coding, batching, inputting, and send out invoices.
  • Process Invoice payments.
  • Reconcile daily POS transactions
  • Prepare daily POS cash drawers
  • Prepare daily bank deposits.
  • Maintain supplies office supplies.
  • Print daily reports in Win Prism
  • Complete daily Sales summary reports & batch twice a month

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to two years year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately perform counts and do simple addition and subtraction
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop, interpret and apply policies and procedures to variety of situations.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-ethnic environment.
  • Availability for four hours per day Monday thru Friday

ABOUT US: As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Foundation offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year. The Foundation offers positions in various fields; whether it is in the area of technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality management, leadership or research grants, these student employees participate in Cal Poly Pomona's learn-by-doing philosophy and acquire practical skills in their designated field of study.

The Foundation also contributes operating support to nearly 1,100 Foundation and scholarship programs every year, including Bronco Athletics. In addition, the Foundation administers grants and contracts, contributes to campus security, and supports several university publications. The Foundation contributes over $1 million annually to Cal Poly Pomona.
