Cajun Engineering Solutions is Hiring a Cost Analyst Near Baton Rouge, LA

Job Overview:

Cajun Engineering Solutions is looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cost Analysis. This on-site position is located 20 miles west of New Orleans and directed by our valued Client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control and accounting principles, with experience in the engineering, procurement, and construction industry. The Cost Control Specialists will be responsible for working with project stakeholders to develop and implement defined cost control strategies.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in implementing cost control plans for projects.

· Monitor project costs and expenditures, and identify cost overruns and potential cost savings opportunities.

· Prepare and review project budgets and forecasts, and ensure that costs are managed within the approved budget.

· Analyze and evaluate project costs and performance, and provide regular reports to project managers and stakeholders.

· Ensure that project costs are properly allocated and recorded in the accounting system.

· Collaborate with project teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.

· Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to cost control and accounting.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in accounting, business administration or construction management is preferred.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Experience with cost control software and accounting systems.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.
