This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting customers with purchases by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties
1. Greets customers, answers questions and provides prompt, courteous service.
2. Responsible for all payment transactions with customers including cash payments, dispensing change, and running credit card payments for customers while maintaining accurate cash drawer.
3. Must record opening and closing coin, lottery tickets, and print all reports for shift for books.

Education & Experience
Previous experience and/or training in retail/cash handling environment is preferred.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills
Has the minimal skills necessary to operate a computer. Can log on to a computer system, navigate in windows, perform simple tasks within applications and enter information into a database.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
