We are seeking a Sr. Business/Change Execution Consultant to lead a multi-year digital transformation in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Description

We are looking for a Sr. Business/Change Execution Consultant . This position will be full-time and hybrid . We are seeking local candidates of Indianapolis only. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

Our client is undertaking a multi-million-dollar, multi-year digital transformation and IT systems modernization effort that will impact thousands of employees and contractor partners.
The Sr. Business Consultant will play a key role in ensuring our client's digital transformation IT projects meet objectives on time, with the right resources, and on budget by leading the development of employee training, increasing employee adoption and usage, and ensuring new / revised processes are implemented to provide maximum benefit with as minimal impact on day-to-day operations as possible. This person will focus on the people side of change - including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures, and business unit training development. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change execution strategies, working with project managers, business leaders and partner vendor implementors to support planning for and execution of employee adoption and usage to minimize risk to implementation. The Sr. Business Consultant will work to drive faster adoption, higher crucial utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of successful results and outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Apply a structured change methodology and lead change management activities
  • Assess the change impact on individuals and organizations and capacity to execute change
  • Complete change management assessments (e.g. risk, strategic alignment, sponsorship, capacity, etc.)
  • Create and execute a change management strategy while ensuring it aligns with organization pillars and strategic plan
  • Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Proactively identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Consult and coach project teams about the value and integration of change management within project management to ensure team readiness
  • Create actionable change management deliverables: (e.g. change portfolio with success measures, communications plans, organizational strategic pillar alignment, sponsor roadmap, management coaching plans, training plans, resistance management plans, etc.)
  • Support development and execution of communications strategies and plans to build necessary commitment
  • Lead development and execution of training efforts
  • Work directly with change sponsors and leaders and multiple levels to help strengthen their sponsorship skills
  • Assess organizational culture to identify consistency with change and gaps that need to be addressed
  • Support change management at the highest level by coaching executives, managers and supervisors in preparing organization and staff for change
  • Integrate change management activities into overall master portfolio
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Identify key stakeholder talent who play a role in the organizations commitment to change
  • Regularly track and report issues for successful change implementation and realization
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Support change execution capabilities building across the organization (leaders, managers, program/project leaders, front-line employees, etc.)

What You'll Need

Required

  • 10 years of overall experience with large-scale enterprise digital transformation/modernization efforts and leading large-scale organizational
  • Senior level experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise digital transformation / modernization efforts
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationship
  • Ability to influence other and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexibility and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Forward-looking with a holistic/systems view approach
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
  • Understand how to collect relevant data, to synthesize and summarize data, and to perform root cause analysis
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Good understanding of large organization issues, structure, and business acumen
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of software development lifecycles
  • Experience leading large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Experience with leading training development and execution of large-scale process changes and software solution integrations with multiple business units

Preferred

  • Change Management certification or designation desired; CCMP /Prosci certification
  • State government experience

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
