Job Title: Resident Lifestyle Coordinator
Reports to: Resident Lifestyle Director
Status: Non-Exempt
I. Job Summary
The Resident Lifestyle Coordinator assists the Resident Lifestyle Director to provide group and individual activities for the residents. Duties will involve personal contact with a varying resident population and a varied work schedule that may include some weekends, evenings, and holidays. Tasks also will involve record keeping, attention to the environment, use of supplies and equipment, and maintenance of storage areas.
II. Qualifications
a. Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
b. Experience:
Previous experience working with the older adults preferred. Practice in making group reservations, checking venue layout, and activities in general.
c. Special Qualifications:
Must have a current Tuberculosis skin test or chest x-ray. Good verbal and written communication skills. Pleasant personality. Able to work independently and follow scheduled plans. Maintain composure in stressful situations.
III. Job Relationships
a. Responsible to:
Resident Lifestyle Director
b. Directly responsible for:
The gathering of information for off-site trips: the venue, site map for seating, how many stairs involved, availability of accessible seating, ticket pricing etc. Implementation of all on-site activities.
c. Relationships:
Residents, visitors, employees, supervisors, department directors, resident family members.
IV. Responsibilities
a. Supporting the coordination of monthly newsletter.
b. Assisting in scheduling monthly activities.
c. Working with deadlines on outings.
d. Taking residents on outings i.e.: lunch outings during the week etc.
e. Leads assigned activities.
