Columbus Pre-School it's a progressive, Reggio-inspired preschool on the Upper West Side of New York.Columbus Pre-School is part of the Cadence Education family and is currently seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher to bring your love of children and past experience in childcare, daycare or early childhood education to our team of kind, caring Teachers and staff.

Company Overview

Preschool Lead Teacher Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required, Master's degree preferred- Valid teaching certification/license in Early Childhood Education, or current attendance in master's program- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in education- Experience in literacy education and promoting reading skills- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students- Experience in early intervention, preschool, daycare, or tutoring is a plus

Preschool Lead Teacher Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students- Use effective behavior management strategies to promote a productive classroom atmosphere- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate instructional activities- Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote health and wellness- Foster the social, emotional, and cognitive development of students through age-appropriate activities

Salary: $27.88 - $29.80 per hour
