CADENCE BANK is Hiring a Finance Manager Near Birmingham, AL

Finance Manager, Corporate Finance

The primary responsibilities of the position require the employee to partner with and support the bank's

Project Management function from the Corporate Finance team.

The ideal candidate will have Finance or Accounting experience, with exposure or experience in project

management as a plus. The candidate must be technically proficient in tools such as Excel, Power BI,

Oracle and other analytical tools, as well as at minimum a basic understanding of project management

methodology. The candidate will work alongside project managers and teams to understand and model

financial impacts including capital and operating expense. The position entails a great deal of structured

analysis and critical thinking. Problem solving ability, flexibility, and adaptability are essential to the

role's success. The analyst will work on high impact projects on a daily basis. The position is a great

opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop professionally as it involves critical tasks

and exposure to other business units as well as Cadence senior management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Finance Manager will report to the Finance team, and work in parallel with the Project Management

team in support of strategic project planning. Typical duties include:

* Assistance and guidance to project teams in proforma development

* Working closely in conjunction with project teams to track project expense and status.

* Development and tracking of financial models and reporting, including expense outlays.

* Forecasting and budgeting

* Being highly involved in pulling data to support research and analyses

* Seeking information and buy-in from other lines of business; the position will need to work with

other Finance Managers to ensure that proforma information (offsets, revenue, cost saves, etc)

is being accounted for in the right line of business budgets throughout the enterprise.

* Development of presentations to summarize data for senior management.

* Time management, follow-up, business sense, initiative and assertion will ensure success in this role.

* Skills in financial planning and analysis are recommended, as well as exposure or experience in project

management.

Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

* Bachelor's Degree from accredited 4-year institution in Finance, Accounting, Economics or

related field

* CPA or MBA a plus

* 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting; exposure or experience in project

management a plus

* Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn quickly, including critical

functions such as V-LOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Table, etc.

* Strong analytical capabilities using data tools to compile, analyze and manipulate data from

various internal and external sources.

* Basic knowledge of financial planning and analysis highly desired (bonus points for FP&A tied

to financial institutions)

* Project management skills

* Ability to independently interact with senior leaders.

* Presentation building in Microsoft PowerPoint or similar applications.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Attention to detail.

* Strong ability to work independently.

* Time management
