CACI is seeking a cleared Systems Engineer SME to focus on DoD 5000.02 artifacts and documentation. The Systems Engineer is responsible for applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement. This position is based at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge.
Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
May supervise others.
More About The Role:
Interacts with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Communicates with other TDP project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives. Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, to include: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area. Contributes to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents. The Systems Engineer supervises and mentors subordinate project.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
An active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor's degree in STEM field.
7 years of position relevant work experience.
DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level III.
Experience with use case development.
Experience with requirements derivation.
Experience with developing technical project artifacts.
Familiarity with Agile software development process.
Experience with Software Engineering processes.
