As a Sr DevOps Engineer on the FADE Team, you will be working closely with our product engineering teams, security, and infrastructure teams to manage and maintain our cloud environments used to develop and field advanced intelligence capabilities. This role includes deploying reliable, highly available software capabilities to a cloud-based Kubernetes platform. You will build and utilize monitoring dashboards to be on the front lines for triage and recovery in support our operational environments. You will be a key member of the team, where the rubber meets the road, doing work that matters for some of the U.S. Government’s most critical missions, and utilizing the latest technologies in Cloud Computing and DevSecOps.

More About the Role:

• Support and maintain services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
• Automate development, deployment and operations processes to ensure reliability and repeatability
• Build and use dashboards to better gain insight into the health of operational systems
• Work with team mates to collaboratively troubleshoot and solve problems in a team setting
• Build health checks, alarms, and other automation to keep operational systems running 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• 7 years with DevOps and software and systems engineering
• Container management/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, RKE2) 
• Experience with Helm Charts (Helm), Kustomize and/or updating K8s manifests
• Experience with metrics collection databases such as Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Graphite, and/or Splunk
• Experience with Grafana or other monitoring tools 
• Strong grasp of Linux, networking, and security
• Current Top Secret Security Clearance, preferably a Top Secret SCI with a current polygraph
• Information Assurance/DoD 8570 certification IAT Level II or higher (like Security ) (or willing to obtain within 3 months)

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

• AWS Certification – SysOps, DevOps, or Solutions Architect Asc
• Familiarity with AWS Infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, ElastiCache, Route 53, IAM, CloudFront, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC technology
• Experience with GitOps Practices and Tools (e.g. ArgoCD)
• Experience with web servers (e.g. Apache HTTPD, Nginx, etc.)
