Linguist/Triage Team Job Category: Language Services Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Continental US What You'll Get to Do: * A Linguist on the Triage Team performs the examination of digital media devices and data, electronic files, and documents for content using the NMEC Exploitation System. * The Linguist identifies files and document of intelligence value in accordance with customer ' s requirements and standing SOPs and provides files for screening by linguists. * Triage team members also produce a serialized report of their findings disseminated to customers and analysts and liaison officers at NMEC. * Prior to dissemination of their report, triage linguists are expected to notify government supervisors and liaison officers and analysts of significant findings. More About the Role: * The Linguists on the triage team will have quality control responsibilities for verifying the accuracy, quality, and uniformity of triage reports and disseminating reports. You'll Bring These Qualifications: * Must have Top Secret/SCI. * Linguists must possess the requisite language skills, analytical skills, and computer systems/digital media aptitude. * Linguists shall be either native speakers of the foreign language or DLI (or other language school) trained personnel with intelligence, military, or equivalent work experience and be fully functional linguists. * DLI trained linguists must score at least 2/2 in reading and listening in a foreign language on the ILR scale. * Native speaker linguists of a foreign language must pass with a proficiency of 3 on the ILR scale for reading and listening. * All linguists must have English with general professional proficiency or higher proficiency (3 ) on the ILR Scale for reading and listening.
