Caccia Plumbing Inc. is Hiring a Warehouse Helper Near San Mateo, CA

Warehouse Helper Duties:

  • Provides assistance in oversight of warehouse operations while working closely with warehouse manager to help team complete jobs and achieve company goals.
  • Help to ensures that all inventory items are tagged and labeled properly and that special order parts are received by technicians.
  • Help to manage ongoing tracking of equipment by logging the user's name, job location, dates released, and dates returned.
  • Help to verify equipment is functioning at all times and ensures equipment is returned daily to proper location.
  • Help to provides maintenance and repair of tools and equipment personally, or by shipping the equipment to the appropriate repair vendor.
  • Works alongside customer service and dispatchers to ensure the overall success of the business.
  • Upholds housekeeping and organization standards of the warehouse by organizing products and inventory, sweeping, clearing aisles, and emptying trash cans.

  • Education:
    • Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience:
    • Required: Five years of Inventory Management experience.
  • Language Skills: Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Writes routine reports and correspondence and speaks effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume while applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Must possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists while interpreting various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Business Acumen: Must understand the business implications of decisions, displays orientation to profitability, demonstrates knowledge of market and competition, and aligns work with strategic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to stand, crouch, and climb for long periods of time and carry greater than 45lbs.
  • Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Must have the ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals..
  • Basic computer skills, including navigating web browsers and using standard applications like Excel and Word.
