ABOUT THE JOB:

Cabinet Designers is seeking applications from qualified apprentice-level candidates to assist in the installation of custom and semi-custom kitchen cabinets. The ideal candidate must be dependable and able to work with a team, as well as communicate professionally with our clients. This is an apprentice level position that will provide an opportunity to learn from our very experienced finish carpenters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist experienced install team members, continually learning from them.
• Safely and efficiently modify and install cabinets, trim, and molding.
• Install cabinet hardware, hinges, drawer slides, and organizers.
• Coordinate the delivery and storage of all cabinets in storage facilities
• Transport project-specific materials like cabinets, tile, and fixtures to job sites using company vehicles.
• Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools from company vehicles into clients' homes.
• Set up and dismantle equipment and tools as required, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the project.
• Implement job-site protection measures such as dust collection and floor protection.
• Assist in debris removal and demolition of old kitchen and bathroom materials as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have experience working with power tools
• Must be able to read a tape measure and understand fractions/basic math
• Must possess reliable transportation with a valid NY state drivers license
• Must be willing to work overtime when necessary to complete projects on time
• Must be able to read work orders and communicate effectively in writing
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position - including: Able to lift 75 pounds (up a staircase and down a staircase at times), Able to work in various inside & outside environments being subjected to noise, sawdust, chemical smells, and other external factors
• Requires visual acuity for depth perception and color perception

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
