About the job In this role, you will be responsible for managing all material purchases to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, while meeting the materials needs for the factory and working with global purchasing to identify and develop a work-class vendor network. You will ensure an efficiently operating supply planning group with special emphasis on timely and accurate vendor deliveries, purchase cost reduction, the production requirements of products and services are handled in an efficient and timely manner. You will also be involved in the smooth coordination of the purchasing of raw materials and production supplies. This will be accomplished through the implementation of commodity strategy plans and the management of supplier relationships. You will partner with management to develop commodity strategies. You will have the opportunity to perform at a high level of Customer service as a part of the Factory Supply chain in end-to-end flow, collaborating closely with the Customer Service Group to ensure supply is done timely and at a high quality. This position reports to the Factory Manager with dotted line to the Product Group Sourcing Manager. Team responsibility for 11 direct reports which include White Collar.
