About the job Our Richmond manufacturing facility is looking for a new Team Manager - Production responsible to oversee and manage the production of Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers. We’ll rely on you to manage job assignments, materials planning, and safety compliances. This position is responsible for the application and enforcement of all company policies and procedures. Work schedule will be Sun - Thu, 10:00PM – 06:30AM, plus handover time with shifts and management. As a part of the team, you will: Responsible for meeting production forecasts and driving continuous improvements through the manufacturing processes. Secure the quality, via SOP audit dialogues and execution of the SOPs. Drive performance meetings, improvement meetings and related activities. Attain production goals through an effective scheduling to meet daily customer demands by providing hands-on support and direction to the night shift team. Provide leadership to create a work environment that drives excellence in productivity, customer service and quality. Applying effectively continuous improvement skills such as 5S, Lean manufacturing, KAIZEN, TPM etc. to drive improvements. Set and follow up targets for the team and each employee, broken down from unit level. Be responsible for team’s: safety, quality, delivery, cost, other company policies. Be a link between the factory and support functions for daily issues and take them to the finish line. Ensure all employees know their responsibilities, how they contribute to the total result, companies strategy and that they are recognized for the performance. Support other initiatives as directed by Unit Manager and/or Factory Manager What you know Bachelor of Engineering / Science in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. 2-3 years of experience from Maintenance/Production/Quality areas. 1-2 years of People Management Experience. Able to read drawings, blueprints, machine performance reports etc. Lean or Six Sigma Certifications. Advanced Computer Skills (ERP, MS Office Suite, Auto Cad, Data Analysis etc). These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall salary range for this role is typically $80,000 - $95,000.
