Registered Behavior Technician/Behavior Technician
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the assessment and evaluation of client needs
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop treatment goals and strategies
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus (can be trained on the job)
- Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior plans accurately
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team/be able to use devices such a s laptops and ipads
