Summary: This position ensures the quality of products through thorough assessment and analyses using specific procedural standards for integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Set-up and operate extruding machines
Place and secure proper die into extruder head
Change screen; adjust die, set extrusion temperature, feed and speed
Disassemble dies and operating mechanisms for proper machine cleaning
Arrange raw material (PVC and other related material) feeding system
Able to read vernier calipers, gauges, and other related measuring devices
Able to use power tools safely and effectively to clean dies and other operating mechanisms
Ensure that equipment and machinery operate properly.
Report malfunctions and abnormal conditions to Supervisor.
Check work in process for conformance to job specifications and quality standards
Able to identify root cause of defective material and take corrective action
Able to use hand truck and electrical material handling equipment.
Follow all plant safety rules and regulations.
Follow all proper housekeeping practices
Dispose of all scrap and place in designated areas.
Perform other related duties as directed by Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems and Manufacturing software.

Certificates and Licenses:

Forklift Certification preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has Lead Person responsibilities in absence of Supervisor.
