We are currently seeking a full-time Project Engineer to join our team on 207 Street in the Bronx. We offer a competitive salary, great benefits, and excellent work culture. This position entails being flexible with work hours overlapping between night shift and day shift (not permanently, for short duration on this project)

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
• 3-5 years of experience - MTA/NYCTA (Right of Way) experience preferred
• Advanced level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.)
• OSHA 30 at a minimum
• Knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD / MicroStation is preferred
• NYCT Track Safety Training Preferred

• Desire to work in a field environment with client personnel, and construction crews

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day interaction with subcontractors during their field operations and client’s field representatives
• Prepare and submit daily reports
• Tracking quantities and hours for field activities
• Tracking changes due to field conditions and notify management of the changes
• Monitor the progress of field construction activities to assure compliance with project plans and specifications

• Assist in preparing and submitting look ahead schedules
• RFI’s including preparing, submitting and tracking
• Order daily construction supplies and maintain field purchase order log
• Obtain and manage road closure permits and maintain a permit log
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, safety meetings, and safety trainings
• Track equipment and materials
• Cover Superintendent when not at site
