Job Title: Laborer

Hours: Full-time - Day shift is from 6 am-2:30 pm, night shift is from 6 pm-2:30 am

Job Description:

An affiliate of C.A.C. Industries, Green Asphalt, is currently seeking a full-time Laborer in Long Island City, Queens. Green Asphalt is a NYC-based 100% recycled asphalt manufacturer specializing in green infrastructure and development projects. The ideal candidate would have prior experience working at an asphalt plant. The compensation $20-30 per hour, depending on level of experience. Having a CDL Driver License is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the production of asphalt materials.
• Perform manual labor tasks, including shoveling, raking, and sweeping, to maintain cleanliness and orderliness around the plant.
• Help load and unload raw materials and finished products using appropriate equipment, such as wheelbarrows, shovels, and forklifts.
• Monitor equipment and processes to identify any issues or malfunctions and report them to supervisors for prompt resolution.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding environmental protection and waste management.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a construction environment or asphalt plant is preferred.
• CDL License is a plus.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
