Quality Assurance Engineer 

The Quality Assurance (QA) engineer is a member of a squad together with the Product Manager, Scrum Master, Backend Engineers, Frontend Engineers, DevOps Engineers.
The squads are responsible to continuously deliver value to our customers and to maximize the quality of the Bynder products.

QA engineers ensure all aspects of Bynder products have been verified and validated before the product may be released, by:

1. integrating quality into our product using test automation to get quick feedback on the impact of new features
2. deploying new product features on the shortest cycles possible.

The role of the QA engineer is to design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product & UX to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with the Product Scrum team to identify gaps in requirements, review test plans, and help prioritize bugs and features.
• Create test plans that include both automation and manual test considerations to identify critical defects to minimize customer impact.
• Build and maintain automated tests for regression testing that will validate functionality and identify defects prior to releasing features.
• Work closely with the Product Scrum team to improve the test automation framework and integrate it with developer flows and continuous delivery.
• Adopt Bynder’s preferred test automation principles and tools,page object, Cypress & Python’s Pytest.
• Routinely generate and communicate QA test status reports.
• Identify defects and provide troubleshooting and track progress in Jira.
• Review product backlog and understand the roadmap to determine QA priority and provide feedback.
• Improve the quality of products with continuous regression and exploratory testing.
• Set up and monitor goals such as automation coverage, minimum escaped defects and code quality.
