BYD is seeking an experienced Field Technician for the Truck Aftersales Department. The field technician will be responsible for working at various on-site customer facilities as needed on 100% Battery Electric (BEV) commercial trucks (up to and including class 8 vehicles) in diagnosing, repairing, and maintenance including warranty, technical service bulletins (TSB’s) and OEM service campaigns as required for BYD truck customer vehicles.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge of Commercial Truck maintenance operations and field service support.
2. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience.
3. ASE Commercial Truck Certifications preferred but not required.
4. Commercial Truck Technician experience, preferably working in a field service environment at various on-site customer facilities.
5. Experienced in Commercial Truck maintenance and repair. Experience with computer-based diagnostics in truck maintenance operations. Experience with Truck Electric drive systems preferred.
6. Ability to travel both locally and throughout North America to work in the Customer’s environment, locations and facilities. Weekends, nights, and long hours can and will occur.
7. License: Must possess a valid driver’s license in home state and no more than one infraction during previous three years.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, or general education degree (GED).
