Overview
The Air Force Civil Engineer (AFCEC) community has identified the cybersecurity of Civil Engineer (CE) Control Systems as essential in securing the infrastructure at Department of the Air Force (DAF) installations. The AFCEC Operations Directorate (AFCEC/CO) is tasked to support securing this infrastructure by contracting for cybersecurity service capabilities on behalf of the CE enterprise. AFCEC manages cyber risk; and identifies, mitigates, monitors, and predicts cyber vulnerabilities related to CE Control Systems worldwide. By Light is looking to staff positions that would provide innovative, customer-focused, and cost-effective Information Assurance/cybersecurity system engineering support services by applying industry standard best practices in addressing mission requirements.
Responsibilities
- 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity
- 7 years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations
- 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations leadership roles
- Experience leading an operational organization heavily integrated with cyber threat intelligence.
- Experience leading successful cross-functional efforts across cyber teams and leading cybersecurity investigations and conducting incident response activities.
- Experience with performing large-scope organizational risk and threat assessments and modelling.
- Experience with security operations technologies including SIEM/SOAR platforms, firewalls and intrusion detection, prevention systems, DPA, or EPP/EDR
- Knowledge of security operations concepts including network defense, endpoint protection, data leak prevention, kill chain analysis, security metrics such as KPIs/KRIs and cyber defense policies, procedures, and regulations.
Required Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with GOGO and COCO delivery models
- Experience with integration of MSSP offerings or managing MSSP cyber operations.
- Knowledge of technical offensive or defensive cyber capabilities
- Ability to think critically and display thought leadership.
- Ability to comprehend complex problems quickly, draw logical conclusions, make sound decisions, develop solutions, and drive closure.
- Ability to work with and guide senior leaders, including CISO, CIO, and CTO, and executives to ideate, build, and execute cybersecurity capability maturation.
- Ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences and communicate on security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
- CISSP, CISM, GSOC, CSOM, or CSA Certification
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
- IASAE 1 or greater. Security , CISSP or other equivalent certification.
- Ability to configuration manage, version control, and backup various scripts and work products created to execute and maintain the environment.
- Prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
- Interact with vendors/users/customers and developers to understand needs and operational requirements changes that will impact development and testing activities, examine any relevant change implementation, then report the changes to developers and testers welcoming feedback for future improvements.
- Ability to solve technical problems involving a variety of integrated software and hardware platforms.
- Expertise with offensive and/or defensive cyber training.
- Knowledge of OT/CE Systems
