Title: Audiologist

Location: 1016 Tacoma Avenue, Sunnyside, WA 98944-0719

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (08:00 - 18:00), 4x10s or can do 5x8s (No weekends)

Duration: 13 weeks

Pay: $70/HR. on W2

Summary:

Performing diagnostic hearing evaluations for infants through geriatric patient populations, hearing aid consultation, ordering and fitting, infant ABR, and appropriate billing and documentation.
The current audiologist will remain on staff part time for a couple of months to provide training and mentorship.
Must have a Washington license.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments using various techniques and equipment to determine the nature and extent of hearing loss or balance disorders.

This may include audiometry, tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing, auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing, and vestibular testing.

Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing conservation, communication strategies, coping mechanisms for hearing loss, and the use of assistive listening devices.

They also offer support and guidance throughout the rehabilitation process.

Audiologists assess and manage balance disorders through various vestibular testing techniques, such as videonystagmography (VNG) and vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP).
