Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, the Transport Communication Specialist in the role of Communicator is responsible for all communications from the road crews of MD and DC.
They are to answer and be knowledgeable about questions regarding BMT policy and MIEMSS regulations and relay any and all pertinent information to the Controller.
Additionally, the Communicator, will screen all calls before putting any through to the Controller, they will update the status' of road crews, deactivate units, track calls and crews using the Traumasoft system and fill the position of Transport Intake Specialist when needed.
The Communicator will know how to navigate the TraumaSoft system proficiently.
