Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team. As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of our organization's internal controls, risk management processes, and governance systems. Your role will involve conducting inventory audits, identifying areas of improvement, and providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. Also, this position will lead and support the internal audit team.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas of risk
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability and develop strategies to mitigate risks
- Review operational procedures and processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls that align with industry best practices
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans for management review
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure compliance and effectiveness
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to internal auditing
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex data sets and identify trends or anomalies
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial records and documentation
- Proficient in using auditing software tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication skills to effectively present audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
