A Production Planner/Expeditor Level 1 coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within the workshop and between departments according to the production schedule.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as initial contact for the Service Department to process Service Orders
• Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules via Busch ERP software suites
• Compile reports on progress of part availability, work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems
• Review and manage process documents such as production schedule, work orders, staffing tables and material priorities to ensure accurate planning and scheduling of Service Center repair/overhaul process
• Confer with Service Operations Manager and Service Center employees to assess progress and discuss need changes in planning or scheduling
• Revise production schedule when required due to identifiable changes in labor, material shortages, backlogs and/or other interruptions through collaboration with management and Service Administration
• Identify adverse trends affecting normal process flow and notify management. Recommendations to address issues affecting normal process flow shall be provided at the time of notification to management
• Provide support to warehouse role, presentation role and Service Technicians as required to ensure workshop process continuity
• Compile listing of inventory of materials required to meet production demands, seek approval of Service Operations Manager
• Distribute production schedules, work orders and related documents to appropriate personnel
• Distribute material move tickets and track incident rates
• Develop, implement, manage and update "Visual Management" status/display boards and Functional Movement Systems (FMS)
• Performs all Service Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities regularly
• Complete all other duties and assignments requested by the Service Operations Manager.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in factory related planning and scheduling or related job experience and/or training- Required
• Customer service experience- Required
• Experience communicating between a broad base of organizational groups- Preferred
• Functional understanding of a lean flow environment- Preferred
• Forklift certification- Preferred
• Education
  • High School diploma or GED- Required
• Computer skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Outlook experience
  • Prior experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or CRM (Customer Relationship Management)- Preferred

Job Requirements

• Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
  • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
• Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching outward lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
• Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs
• All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection
