Job Details
Seeking an experienced paralegal/legal assistant with over 7 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation background. Certification is not mandatory. The role involves providing comprehensive support to multiple attorneys and lead trial paralegals throughout the civil litigation process. Responsibilities include managing case files, drafting legal documents, filing, and aiding in trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and finalizing pleadings, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Managing all aspects of discovery phases, such as reviewing answers and responses to interrogatories, production, disclosures, and requests for admissions. This includes liaising with clients to gather answers/responses.
• Upholding professionalism through adherence to attendance policies, dress code, and confidentiality protocols.
• Demonstrating initiative and self-motivation in initiating and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excelling in organizational skills to effectively manage time and resources.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in work products, including maintaining precise records, organizing files, and identifying inconsistencies or errors.
• Prioritizing tasks effectively, distinguishing between urgent and important matters for both personal and attorney-related duties.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly with colleagues and clients, promptly respond to emails, and keep stakeholders informed of progress and changes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of court practices, requirements, and deadlines in state and federal courts.
• Proficiency in drafting Table of Contents and Table of Authorities.
• Previous experience in the maritime industry would be advantageous.
