We are looking for a Warehouse Manager in our Reno, NV location. The salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $110,000 annually.

Purpose: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the DC. The Warehouse Manager develops and drives operational efficiencies through utilization of available performance metrics and productivity tools. The Warehouse Manager also leads, develops and trains DC associates on work flow processes which are key to delivering meaningful results. This position has a lead role in partnering with both external and internal clients and communicating DC activities and events that effect business.

What you’ll be doing…

• ENSURE EXCEPTIONAL CLIENT EXPERIENCE by motivating DC Associates to reach and maintain established productivity and accuracy rates and managing daily production flow.
• ENSURE DC FINANCIAL HEALTH AND PROFITABILITY with a focus on managing DC expenses, including payroll, overtime, temporary labor, and freight.
• SUPPORT A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT by fostering a “safety first” culture through awareness, training and accountability.
• SUPPORT DC OPERATIONS by effectively supervising assigned DC associates; scheduling associates for daily coverage, reviewing and approving timecards, and managing performance.
• SUPPORT CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT EFFORTS by identifying and implementing changes that result in continuous improvement in cost reduction, improving accuracy, and increasing efficiency.
• ENSURE COMPLIANCE by keeping distribution center in compliance with all government regulations, including OSHA, hazardous materials and wholesale prescription regulations.
• KEEP DC SAFE AND OPERATIONAL by leading DC safety committee, ensuring DC is in compliance with policies related to OSHA, FDA, DOT, other regulatory agencies, and Burkhart standard operating procedures.
• COLLABORATE WITH OPERATIONS AND SALES LEADERSHIP to ensure alignment on key projects.
• BUILD BURKHART’S LONG-TERM SUCCESS by effectively leading assigned direct reports, managing for optimal performance, consistently supporting career growth and development.

What you’ll need…

• Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or closely related field.
• 5 years of distribution experience.
• 3 year of supervisory experience.
• The associate must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel by car and plane to meetings and events.
• Certified (at time of hire or within 3 months of hire) to operate forklift, reach truck, stock picker, WAV picker, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment.
• Must successfully clear a background check through applicable pharmaceutical boards and pass a designated representative certification course as soon as eligible and maintain these clearances on an ongoing basis.

Preferred Additional Education and/or Experience:

• 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment (so as to be eligible for the pharmaceutical board certification).
