Job Summary:
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and assist with administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary clinic. Schedule is M-F, no weekends, no holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
- Monitor communication portals
- Collect and record client information accurately
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Process payments for services rendered
- Help clients get information on basic pet care and provide resources as needed
Skills:
- Confidence in communication skills with clients and coworkers.
- Knowledge of pet care and animal husbandry practices
- Proficient in handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Understanding of veterinary terminology and medical procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or similar setting preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
