Burgos Group is seeking a Safety Manager for a Federal Government Heavy Civil project near Fort Johnson, LA. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Site Safety Manager must have five (5) years of continuous general industry safety experience in supervising/managing general construction. Must be able to pass a Federal background check.
The Safety Manager must be familiar with safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures and standards applicable to agency instructions, directives and operation manuals, OSHA, federal safety and occupational health standards, ANSI, NFPA and other consensus standards. Must be able to plan, organize, direct, operate, inspect and/or evaluate a safety and occupational health program for a construction safety program. The Safety Manager must be able to perform mishap investigations, prepare reports of circumstances, maintain records and evaluate mishap data for trends and patterns and be able to communicate safety requirements to all levels of personnel to meet program goals and objectives, implement procedures and practices, and assist supervisors and employees in complying with safety and health standards. The Safety Manager will direct all phases of the safety program from inception through completion.
