Guard, patrol, and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
Security Guard for our shipyard. This part time role is for weekday and weekend night shift (2nd and 3rd shift only). The hours for 2nd shift are from 3pm-11pm and 3rd shift is from 11pm-7am. The position includes manning the security office and controlling access to the shipyard. In addition, perform periodic walk throughs to be sure facilities are safe, doors or gates are locked, power is on or off, there is no fire or other hazards, etc. You will also be responsible to keep the Guard House clean, stocked with safety gear, etc. Must be able to drive the company vehicle to inspect all three Burger locations within the city of Manitowoc.

• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Lock doors and gates of entrances and exits to secure buildings.
• Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems, such as air conditioning, furnace, or boiler.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Must be able to work and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
