The Customer Experience Support Specialist will provide on-going customer support for BPD’s ecommerce website, with a focus on improving the overall customer experience. This role will be responsible for communicating with customers on the eCommerce channel via live chat. This job can be primarily remote with occasional meetings/training in our Riverside, MO office.
Responsibilities:
- Provide front-line customer support for BPD’s eCommerce website.
- Answer incoming live chats to assist customers with website navigation, log-in, checkout issues, order status and general product questions.
- Maintain a customer-first focus and deliver a consistently great experience to all our customers with a high level of professionalism.
- Strong knowledge of current digital technologies and online best practices for customer service.
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Follow up with registered customers on abandoned shopping carts, as needed.
- Proactively identify root causes of issues and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Receive, document, and work technical issues through the help desk system, as needed.
- Answer inbound telephone calls to assist customers, as needed.
- Enter customer orders into AS400 data system, as needed.
- Commit to learning various product lines.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Selling, Marketing, New Media, Internet Marketing, Communications or Business preferred.
- Minimum of two years in sales or service environment, experience in distribution environment preferred.
- Experience of working with a live chat platform.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of current digital technologies and best practices including online search, website navigation and online customer service.
- Experience with web-based eCommerce platforms, web browsers and technologies.
- Self-motivated and organized with strong multitasking and time-management skills.
- Must be detail oriented and have a positive team-oriented attitude.
