The Cash Application Supervisor is responsible for the work flow of accounts receivable process to include supervision of team, ensure proper allocation of cash postings, and reconciliation of general ledger at month end.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enforce processes
• Supervise cash application team
• Ensure payments are applied accurately and timely
• Reconcile deposits against general ledger for month end
• Relevant reconciliations and issue resolution
• Create customer aging statements
• Research and notify team of short pays and discrepancies through resolution
• Maintain folders and records of customers
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls
• Reconcile unapplied cash on weekly basis; zero un-accounted-for unapplied cash at month-end
• Bank deposits - book deposits at month-end
• Ensure that reconciliations are complete, discrepancies addressed, and filed per month-end schedule
• Customer accounts reflect accurate open invoices

Requirements:

• High School diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3 years of experience working in accounts receivable or accounting-related role with high volume of transactions
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel (intermediate level)
• Experience with JD Edwards/AS400 a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form with management, internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
• High level of maturity and confidence necessary to interact with sophisticated internal and external clients
• Strong leadership and customer service skills with the ability to ensure that a high level of service and quality is maintained
• Product knowledge with clear technical understanding of services to be able to effectively communicate to customer
• Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines
• Outstanding attention to detail, flexibility and creativity
• Persistence coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality of shared information and/or assignments
