Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer with 8 years of experience to join our Atlanta office. As part of our progressive and innovative firm, you will play a pivotal role in designing site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, utility infrastructure, roadways, and erosion control measures. We value performance, teamwork, and exceptional service, and we are looking for someone motivated to contribute to the growth of our Civil Engineering Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise internal project teams in developing construction documents for site development.
• Independently tackle challenging technical assignments.
• Foster a positive office and departmental culture, contributing to overall goals and morale.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring profitability and timely delivery.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, regulators, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate drawings and designs with external consultants, including architects, owners, and engineers.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
• Work efficiently to meet schedule constraints and project budgets with minimal supervision.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling programs (Hydro CAD, Storm CAD, SWWM) proficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
• 8 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in site grading, earthwork calculations, road design, drainage design, utility layout, utility sizing, and erosion control.
• Strong technical report writing, technical specifications preparation, and cost estimating skills.
• Experience with construction documentation for state, federal, private (commercial, institutional, residential) projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.
