Position Summary:
The Installer/Service Technician provides dealers and their customers with post sales field service in a professional and courteous manner that promotes customer loyalty and enhances the customer experience. Responsibilities for this position include; evaluating product concerns and installation details, making necessary repairs, and documenting findings and actions in written reports.
Responsibilities:
Travel to installation sites to evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues or concerns with product and to provide repair service
Skillfully perform product repairs as scheduled in a variety of residential and commercial settings
Assist and communicate with dealers and customers in a professional manner demonstrating care and concern for their property
Maintain proper parts inventory and tools on vehicle to achieve optimum job completion, order replacement items as needed and maintain an accurate inventory
Accurately complete written reports of field service findings and submit reports at the end of each shift
Communicate trends of recurring field service issues to Marvin Service Coordinators via e-mail
Complete daily driver logs and vehicle inspections reports and submit documents at the end of each shift
Maintain tools and service vehicle in a clean, orderly and safe operating condition and immediately inform supervisor of any service needs or safety concerns
Maintain technical knowledge of Marvin products; including warranty, installation and parts
Attend presentations in product, service and installation training and other meetings as required
Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments, sharing information and effectively communicating both field findings and customer satisfaction levels
Need to have prior experience in trim carpentry
Perform additional duties as required or requested
