Hilton Garden Inn Bowling Green is Hiring a Bartender Near Bowling Green, KY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by a manager or supervisor as needed.

  • Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.
  • Ensure proper portions are being used as per specs.
  • Keeps the Bar as clean as possible at all times. Area should be completely cleaned at the end of each shift.
  • Ensures proper sanitation procedures are being observed at all times.
  • Ensures that all orders are prepared for delivery in the designated service standards.
  • Maintains an accurate bar inventory
  • Associate is in full uniform, including name tag at all times.
  • When approached with a problem, associate will empower himself/herself at all times to assist customer in resolving the problem.
  • Associate will become a resident expert on in-house information along with local information to assist customer in resolving the problem.
  • Completion of all opening, running (during service time), and closing side work assigned each shift.
  • Assist co-workers when needed throughout the shift.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers in a positive, professional and accommodating manner.
  • Associate will understand the financial goals of their department and hotel.
  • Associate will understand the role they play in attaining the financial goals of their department and hotel.

Ability to work well in a team environment

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision.
