Description
Position Description:
Provide limited culinary support to the Back House.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Review daily work orders and check pantry for items needed.
· Report any inventory shortages to the Executive Chef.
· Prepare simple food items as directed according to house recipes.
· Prepare items for banquet or restaurant use.
· Rotate items to ensure freshness.
· Assist with deliveries and secure items for transportation.
· Follow all food safety ordinances and regulations.
· Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.
· Monitor equipment and report any maintenance concerns as needed.
· Breakdown workstation and restock items for next shift.
· Comply with Title 31 training requirements.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Qualifications:
· Requires some kitchen prep experience in a high volume environment.
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Requires food handler’s permit.
Licensing:
· Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License
Work Requirements:
Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
